SCHOOL CONTEXT

The school has a legally constituted B.O.M and P.A. The school has a student population of 1178 and a teaching staff of 38. The school has 20 trained /qualified and experienced TSC teachers and 18 B.O.M teachers making a total of 38 teachers. The Heads of Departments (H.O.Ds) are empowered and allowed to run their departments professionally.

The school presented its first batch of candidates in 2011, at the time the candidate class had 23 students. Last year (2017) the number was 207. The 2017 KCSE class had a mean score of 3.38 (D). This year, our candidature stands at 197 candidates. The main challenges are that some subjects are understaffed and there is chronic absenteeism due to poor school fees payment occasioned by poverty. There is only one Science laboratory, twenty two classrooms and a computer room.

Thirty eight teachers share two medium sized wash rooms, which are not adequate to cater for the large group of members of staff.
